THE COLLABORATIVE LEADER
Accelerate your teams through facilitation
How can a leader lead, while also authorising your teams to innovate, contribute and create new ways of doing things? Old systems of command and control in the workplace have left us with little capacity or role models for the type of leadership our ideas-economy requires: collaborative, generative, facilitating leadership. Learn the art and practice of facilitation so that you can provide boundaries, stick to the task and engage your colleagues so that ideas flow and work becomes... play.
This workshop topic focuses on the leader as facilitator; or Chief Collaboration Officer (CCO, we just invented that). Learn the skills, techniques and theory behind the art of facilitation in a way that allows the wisdom of the group to lead. Unblock your teams by learning how to inhabit your authority as the leader of a team, company or meeting. Learn when to challenge, when to support, when to guide, when to follow, when to change approach, when to push through, and above all how to engage; the trick here is that when a group engages in task, with appropriate boundaries, they can move mountains - and quickly.
